Hair Final
Last night was the last episode of BBCTHREE’s programme Hair and the three finalists battled
it out to become Britain’s best amateur hairstylist.
They were asked to create vintage-inspired victory rolls followed by the graduated bob. Then
for their final task, the freestyle round, the competitors were asked to create a style based on
the theme of Hollywood glamour and there was a slight curveball as the models for the
challenge were their mums!
This round has been our favourite so far as each contestant used hair extensions but in
completely different ways. Dominika glued extensions into her mum’s hair to
create volume and thickness.
Katie sewed weft hair extensions onto a braid to add length. She then added a Hair Bun
to create a Hollywood chignon.
Finally Marvin created a half wig out of dark brown and pink extensions which he attached to
his mum’s braided hair. He blended her natural hair into the wig perfectly and created beautiful
curls which led him to become the winner of the competition!
